DISABILITY
Voluntary Short-Term Disability
Only offered at Open Enrollment in July.
Employees may elect Voluntary Short-Term Disability that provides income replacement while out on disability.
Weekly Benefit: Your weekly maximum benefit will be no more than 60% of your weekly earnings. The maximum weekly benefit is $1,250
Benefits Begin: There is an 8 day waiting period for accident or a sickness
Duration: Benefits may continue up to 26 weeks if you have less than 5 years of service. If you have more than 5
years of service benefits may continue up to 13 weeks.
Long-Term Disability Coverage Employer Paid Benefit
Employees that have worked full time and have 5+ years of service are automatically enrolled in Long-Term Disability insurance at no cost to you. The coverage allows for income replacement if you are disabled for a longer period of time.
Monthly benefit: The benefit is 60% of your pay to a maximum of $10,000.
Duration: Benefits may continue until your Social Security Normal Retirement Age.
